This beachside residence evolved from one word 'Coquillage' - meaning seashell. A prominent stone wall becomes the translation of the 'seashell', spiralling outwards from the hearth of the house toward the ocean. The wall is striking, and ensures this house won’t be content with simply 'fitting in' with its string of neighbours stretching along the esplanade. 

Whilst the wall becomes the distinguishing aesthetic feature of the two story residence, it also has practical and functional properties. The gentle curve of the wall offers protection from the prevailing winds; outdoor entertaining is made all the more enjoyable so the stunning views can be enjoyed in comfort.
